We want to give you peace of mind by providing you with an overview of the process we go through regarding the
removal and disposal of your old fence.
If you've not aware, as the homeowner you are responsible for the legal removal of waste product from your home.
For example if your contractor decided to take away your old fence simply to fly tip it and this was traced back to you, you would run the risk of being fined to cover some of the costs associated with removing that waste.
"Anyone who produces waste has a duty of care under section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to ensure that it is disposed of properly."
Note: that a breach of the household duty of care could attract an unlimited fine, if convicted.
To give you peace of mind, we issue you with a waste certificate confirming the details of the waste removed from your home. We are happy to cover off this more with you, especially if your require a comprehensive
garden clearance service, so you have complete peace of mind regarding any waste removed from your property.
Hedge removal with a digger
Clearly sometimes your new fence will involve the replacement of an existing hedge. Removing a hedge and replacing with a fence will often give you a feeling of having much space along the boundary where your hedge - the main reason is that it actually does! The thickness of a hedge can be as wide as a 3 feet, so even if only half of that is on your side of the boundary a length of 30 feet would add another 45 square foot to your garden!
We can share ideas on the best way to utilise this extra space. So please give us a call.
Whilst many of our clients want a hedge removed and replaced by a fence to provide additional garden space sometimes their garden will have boundary combinations of hedging and fencing. Simply removing the hedge and replacing with a new fence can put an adjoining old fence to shame and certainly lessen the visual impact of the replaced hedge.
If this sounds like your situation don't worry we can removed your hedge and old fencing including removing any fence posts so that your new fencing follows naturally from one side down to another.
