Fence Posts

These provide the backbone to your fence, so it's critical that these are correctly installed - set into concrete at a suitable depth for the type and size of fence you have chosen. These are available in wood, metal, concrete and composite materials, however for a long lasting fence we would generally avoid recommending wooden fence posts.

Fence Panels

The most popular type of panel is wooden, however as more and more people are spending more time in their gardens having a good looking fence, which sets the background to the rest of your horticultural exploits has let to a rise in the popularity of metal and in particular plastic, composite fence panels. These need little to no maintenance and stay looking good for well over 10 years. This allows you to spend time on the fun part of gardening rather than rubbing down a wooden fence to then paint or treat on a regular basis. That said, wooden fence panels offer the widest variety of styles and are typically the cheapest option.

Wooden gates continue to be the most popular material for a gate with garden side gates being the number one place where you will find a wooden gate.

The other common place with be within a fence, whilst not all fences will require a gate there are many that will. Depending on the location, size and purpose of the fence you may well need easy access through it.

At Nottingham Fencing we offer a complete wooden gate service, which includes integrating gates into the fence, if required, so that your garden project can be completed quickly, in one go, with minimal disruption. We offer a range of locking options can provide tongue and groove gates for additional strength. For front gardens we also provide wooden driveway gates, metal and composite driveway gates too.

Garden Clearance Arnold

As licenced waste carriers Nottingham Fencing are well placed to carry out a garden clearance. In fact we carry out a garden disposal service with most of our installations.

Before installing a new fence we will either take out the existing fence panels and sometimes the posts, or a hedge and then we take these away to be disposed of responsibly.

It's the same principle for replacement decking, so simply put it's what we do - minus an installation!

We have a quick remote process for quotations. You can send us images of the garden items, or garden you want cleared. This allows us to see the amount and type of waste involved. We can then provide you with a provisional quote. This saves time for everyone involved. We may need to carry out site visit if the photos flag some possible problematic items. An example may be there are hedges that need removing as we will need to asses the root situation and if they can be removed easily without the roots causing damage to other nearby items.
